Ten-year-old Raphael Landicho - known to most Filipinos as Voltes V Legacy's Little Jon - just shared moving videos of the hit show's cast bidding their goodbyes to each other.
In one of the more recent posts on his Instagram account, Raphael shared two videos of the main cast made up of Miguel Tanfelix, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Ysabel Ortega. While both videos have no sound, one can clearly see Radson Flores getting emotional in the second video.
In the caption to the post, Raphael wrote that he felt “a mix of emotions” with the end of Voltes V Legacy. While he feels grateful for the opportunity, he explained that he felt a tinge of sadness at the thought that this would be the “final chapter” of their time together. He then promised that while the show has ended, the friendship of the cast will “continue to shine brightly.”
Raphael is just the latest part of Voltes V Legacy production to bid their goodbyes to the successful series. Just a day ago, series director Mark Reyes described the experience as “one last epic ride” before saying his thanks to the cast and crew of the show.
“Thank you @voltesvlegacy family. Our work may have finally ended. But our legacy is just beginning,” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.
Matt Lozano, who plays Big Bert on the show, also shared in the podcast Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel that he is extremely grateful for playing a role that has left its mark on Filipino children.
“Siguro 'yung pinaka [touching] sa akin ngayon 'yung mga bata, na sinasabi nila na 'Kuya Big Bert, sobrang happy kami kasi andiyan ka palagi,'” he recalled. “Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na hindi ko kasi akalain na yung mga bata ngayon, 'yung mga generation ngayon ma-a-appreciate nila ang Voltes V.”
